Size Guide — Find Your Best Fit

At Motiv8 Collections, we want you to feel confident and comfortable in every piece. Each product page includes its own sizing table. Use those tables for the exact garment measurements, and use this page to measure yourself correctly and convert between inches and centimetres so you can choose the right size the first time.

How to use this guide

Start with your body measurements, not the label you usually buy. Compare your measurements to the sizing table on the product page for that specific item. Unisex pieces are based primarily on the chest for tops and waist for bottoms. Women’s fitted pieces use the bust as the main reference. If your measurements fall between two sizes, choose based on how you want the garment to sit.

Measure yourself

Chest or bust: stand tall, relax your shoulders, and wrap a soft tape around the fullest part, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight. Breathe out normally before you read the number.
Waist: find your natural waist by bending to one side; where the crease forms is the spot. Measure around that point, tape level, not pulled tight.
Hips: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your seat. This matters for joggers and women’s fitted bottoms.
Inseam: wearing the footwear you’ll use most with the item, measure from the top of your inner thigh to the point where you want the hem to end. If you need help, measure a pair of trousers that fits you well from the crotch seam to the hem and use that length.
Head circumference: for caps and beanies, measure above your eyebrows and around the widest part of your head.
Wrist: for bracelets, measure just above the wrist bone where you’d wear it.

If you don’t have a tape, use a piece of string, mark it, and lay it against a ruler.

Converting inches and centimetres

To convert inches to centimetres, multiply by 2.54. To convert centimetres to inches, divide by 2.54.
Example: a 41-inch chest is roughly 104 cm (41 × 2.54). An 84 cm waist is about 33 inches (84 ÷ 2.54). Rounding to the nearest whole number is fine for apparel.

Choosing your fit

Fitted means close to the body with minimal ease; match your measurements closely to the table.
Regular means a natural drape with room to move; allow a little ease above your body measurements.
Relaxed or oversized means extra room through the chest and shoulders; consider sizing up if you prefer a looser look or plan to layer a hoodie over a tee or thermal. For hoodies and sweatshirts worn over layers, many people prefer one size up from their measured size.

Kids’ sizing

Use height as the primary guide. Measure from the floor to the top of the head with bare feet and a straight posture. If a child is between sizes or still growing fast, choose the larger size for longer wear. Age ranges are approximate; height is the more reliable reference.

Care and shrinkage

Our eco-minded fabrics can tighten slightly on the first wash. To preserve both size and print, wash inside out on a cold cycle and air dry. Heat causes most shrinkage; avoid hot washes and tumble drying where possible.

Small variations

Garment measurements can vary by up to two centimetres due to manufacturing tolerances and the natural behaviour of cotton-rich fabrics. This is normal across the industry and won’t affect overall fit when you measure carefully.

Quick take

The fight begins where you can’t stay.
The lesson: speak the hard truth out loud; doubt weakens.
One honest step: tell one avoided sentence to one trusted person.

Read the Prologue

What happens in this chapter

The Knight enters the Maze of Mirrors and meets the first enemy—his own fear, voiced by the Whisperer. The corridor throws back slices of memory: missed moments, promises delayed, the night everything broke. He does not win by force. He tells the truth, stays present, and keeps moving. The sword steadies; the Shield of Stars kindles its first small ember. At dawn by the river, the First Arrow lodges—marking the next trial and leaving him alive, not finished. This chapter is about naming doubt and taking one honest step you can repeat tomorrow.
